Morning eats in the North.
Upshot Espresso
Upshot may only do brunch once in a while (they open especially for it on select Saturdays, so keep an eye on their website/social media for announcements) but they do it very well – as you will see from the pictured rarebit on toasted sesame, linseed, and sunflower sourdough bread topped off with hearty slabs of bacon.

Forge Bakehouse
As the name indicates, Forge Bakehouse is a bakery, so any brunch item you’re getting that involves bread will be about as fresh and tasty as it’s possible to get. They do brunch with a twist, such as their Aloo Sabzi Baked Eggs. Or if you have a sweet tooth then the pictured French toast with banana, raspberry, peanut brittle, chocolate sauce, and peanut mascarpone may well be for you.

Anchorage Bar
If you’re after a boozy brunch then Anchorage is for you. They offer bottomless drinks, so that’s as many mimosas or Bloody Marys as you can stomach. The food follows the American East Coast theme from the rest of the menu, so expect buttermilk pancakes and waffles alongside Reuben omelettes, kimchi eggs Benedict, and heuvos rancheros.

Tamper Sellers Wheel
Tamper aims to “bring the best of New Zealand’s cafĂ© culture to Sheffield” and one of the best bits is their breakfast and brunch menu. The full English is given a twist into The Big Kiwi whereas veggies may opt for The Ozzy, alongside a whole load of other options available, from wild rice bubbles to Nutella-stuffed French toast.
