Turns out it IS possible to earn a Nando’s Black Card…

1. Nando’s began in 1987, when soon to be entrepreneurs Robert Brozin and Fernando Duarte visited Johannesburg restaurant Chickenland.

2. They liked the food so much that they decided to buy the place. As you do.

3. Nando’s Chickenland was named after Duarte (and his son who shared his name), who was a Portuguese national living in South Africa.

4. At present there are 1051 restaurants across the globe.

5. The UK is the country with the most branches – 315!

6. Next is Australia with 264, while South Africa has 259 Nando’s.

7. This makes Australia the country with the highest branch to population density in the world.
